Depression
Depression is a serious and common mood disorder causing persistent sadness, loss of interest and functional impairment in daily life. It is one of the most prevalent mental health conditions we treat. Symptoms can include low energy, loss of appetite and feelings of hopelessness, Depression often stems from complex genetic, biological and environmental factors. If left untreated, it can result in other serious health issues, impaired quality of live, and self-harm or suicide.
Our practice offers diagnosis, testing and treatment for depression, including psychiatric genetic testing, as well as mental health counseling and psychotherapy, medication management, Spravato (esketamine) therapy, and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).

Anxiety
Anxiety is a natural emotional response to perceived danger, uncertainty, or stress. It prepares the body and mind to respond (fight, flight, or freeze) by increasing alertness, heart rate, and stress hormones. It becomes a disorder when its intensity, frequency, or duration interferes with daily life, work, relationships, or causes significant distress. Examples include generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, and specific phobias. Common signs and symptoms include excessive worry or fear, restlessness or irritability, rapid heartbeat, sweating or trembling, muscle tension, headaches or upset stomach, and difficulty concentrating or sleeping.

Attention Deficit & Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a common neurodevelopmental disorder, often diagnosed in childhood but lasting into adulthood. It is marked by persistent patterns of inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity. ADHD is largely genetic, often running in families, and characterized by differences in brain development. It affects functioning across settings, including school, work, and relationships. Its treatment includes behavioral therapy, psychotherapy and medication to help manage symptoms.
Our practice offers ADHD testing, diagnosis and treatment, including behavioral therapy for children, mental health counseling and psychotherapy for adults, and medication prescription and management.

Bipolar Disorder
Bipolar disorder is a chronic mental health condition that causes extreme shifts in mood, energy, activity levels, and ability to function. These shifts go beyond normal mood changes and can significantly affect work, relationships, and daily life. ADHD is characterized by the occurrence of mood episodes that last for days or weeks. Manic episodes are characterized by feeling “up,” euphoric, or extremely irritable. Common signs include a decreased need for sleep, racing thoughts, rapid speech, and impulsive behaviors. Depressive episodes involve intense sadness, hopelessness, and loss of interest in activities.
Our practice offers diagnosis and treatment for bipolar disorder, including, mental health counseling and psychotherapy, and medication prescription and management.

Schizophrenia
Schizophrenia is a serious, long-term mental health disorder that affects how a person thinks, feels, and behaves. It can make it difficult to tell what is real and what is not. Symptoms include hallucinations, delusions and disorganized thinking. It typically develops in an individual’s late teens to early 30s, and causes significant impairment in daily functioning, social interaction, and emotional expression. Diagnosis involves a clinical review of symptoms, which must be present for at least six months. While there is no cure, a combination of antipsychotic medications, psychotherapy, and social support can manage symptoms and enable a better quality of life.
Our practice offers diagnosis and treatment for schizophrenia, including, mental health counseling and psychotherapy, and medication prescription and management.

Other mental health conditions we treat include autism, substance abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, chronic insomnia, and childhood mental health conditions.
